    3. Two New Projects Announced

      Congratulations are in order for officials who helped facilitate two announcements about business expansions in western Massachusetts this week. First, Massachusetts Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Greg Bialecki and Northampton Mayor Mary Claire Higgins put together a package of incentives to convince Coca Cola to expand its Northampton facility. The project represents a minimum investment of $33 Million according to Coke and will add at least 40 new permanent jobs and about 60 construction jobs.     4. Bradley Hires New Route Development Director

      The state has hired a marketing and route development director for Bradley International Airport to succeed Kiran Jain, who left last December for a similar job at a bigger airport in India. Luis E. Perez of Houston, whose experience includes roles in public and private airport management in the U.S. and abroad, held senior marketing jobs with the Houston Airport System, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation, which announced Perez's appointment this week. DOT operates Bradley, which is New England's second biggest airport.
