      Officials from the Futures Collegiate Baseball League were on hand at the Shortstop Bar & Grill for a VIP kickoff event with the announcement of a new Westfield franchise baseball team on Wednesday. The Westfield team was co-founded and owned by Westfield resident Donald Moorhouse and Christopher Thompson, of Ludlow. The newly formed Westfield Starfires baseball team will open their first home game at Bullens Field on May 31.
