Massachusetts Education Secretary Matthew Malone to meet with Springfield advocates to discuss Gov. Deval Patrick's proposed education investments
New state Secretary of Education Matthew Malone will meet with local education advocates Thursday to discuss Gov. Deval Patrick’s proposed investments in education for fiscal year 2014. The event is at noon, at the Community Music School, 127 State St., hosted by the Irene E. and George A. Davis Foundation. Malone will also be available to answer questions from the audience during the event. Malone, a former superintendent of schools in Brockton and Swampscott, was appointed as the education secretary by Patrick in mid-December.
