    Northampton in 2012 was 'hugely active' in economic development

    Village Hill, the decade-long project that was projected to be Northampton’s economic spur, started to gather steam during 2012, with new residential units going up and a large commercial project breaking ground. In November, a 40,000-square-foot professional building on Atwood Drive had its ribbon-cutting, even as an adjacent 30,000-square-foot office building by the same Development Associates broke ground a few yards away.
