Mayor Daniel M. Knapik said the project, in planning for the past decade, will “dress up this neighborhood and serve as an extension of efforts to revitalize our downtown. These two projects have always been connected.”
This project will take a couple of construction seasons to complete but it should not disrupt traffic that much.
The utilities now in place are probably 100 years or older and the replacement project gives us a perfect opportunity to do streetscaping at the same time.
