1. The EDC congratulates Flo Design Wind Turbine for being awarded $8.3 million by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on Monday. This was the third largest award of 37 projects funded by DOE and the largest of the six grants awarded to Massachusetts companies. This Wilbraham-based company developed an innovative compact wind turbine shaped like a jet engine. This achievement reinforces Western Massachusetts as a leader in renewable energy and a region in which these business can thrive.
