Smith College takes lead in creating college for women in Malaysia

   Smith College is assuming a major role in the creation of a women’s college in Malaysia modeled on the educational system employed at American liberal arts colleges like Smith. The Asian Women’s Leadership University will eventually enroll 2,000 women in a four-year residential academic program. Although the school will be open to women from around the world, it’s expected that most of the students will come from Asia and the Middle East.
