Four finalists are selected in search for new chancellor of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst

1. The finalists are Sona Andrews, vice chancellor of the Oregon University System; Susan Phillips, a vice president at the University of Albany of the state of New York system; Carlos E. Santiago, chief executive of the Hispanic College Fund and Kumble R. Subbaswamy, provost at the University of Kentucky. The search committee forwarded the four candidates to Robert L. Caret, president of the University of Massachusetts system, who will make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees. The trustees will vote on Caret's recommendation for the next chancellor of the flagship campus.
