Higher education institutions turn out a well-prepared workforce which helps attract business

Having that well-trained workforce and the potential to train new workers is key to bringing new businesses to the area, according to Michael Graney, senior vice president for business development with the Economic Development Council of Western Massachusetts. Graney recently fielded a query from a company wanting to open a pharmacy in the area, and he was able to talk about Western New England University’s new College of Pharmacy.
