EDC Congratulates Qteros

1. The EDC is pleased that Qteros, a promising biofuels startup company with roots at the University of Massachusetts, announced that it is building a pilot plant at Westover Air Park in Chicopee. EDC and Westover Metropolitan Development Corporation President and CEO Allan Blair joined numerous dignitaries, including Congressman Richard Neal and Chicopee Mayor Michael Bissonnette, at the announcement. The EDC receives more prospect inquiries from companies in the renewable energy industry than in any other sector. We are working with other early stage companies and assisting them in their efforts to find sites for pilot production facilities in the hope that they join Qteros in augmenting investment and employment in this important industry in western Massachusetts.
