Bus service in Westfield to be study of new PVTA transportation study

Mayor Daniel M. Knapik is asking the City Council to support the new $400,000 study, set to launch in early 2012, by the state Department of Transportation and regional transit authority when it meets in regular session Thursday. That study, financed by the state, will address current and future bus transportation needs in the city along with the extent of commercial and other development or redevelopment of the downtown.
