Springfield City Council committees support Smith & Wesson tax incentives

Under the special tax agreement, Smith & Wesson would realize property tax savings totaling up to $600,000 over a five-year period in exchange for carrying through on plans to create at least 225 new jobs at its Roosevelt Avenue plant. The company currently has 882 full-time employees.
