In the wake of yesterday’s official announcement by Governor Deval Patrick, the EDC applauds the City of Holyoke and the economic development team responsible for successfully negotiating the decision to develop a new $80-$100-million high performance computer center there. EDC President and CEO Allan Blair commented, “The decision to locate a new high performance computing center in Holyoke is a significant development for the City and the region. This new center affirms the quality of our high tech infrastructure and brings investment by world renowned higher education and technology enterprises to our area. The economic development implications are enormous and exciting. Congratulations to Mayor Sullivan and his economic development team.”
