    Springfield details reopening of city offices from coronavirus shutdown; masks, appointments, temperature checks required

    City Hall and other municipal offices will reopen next week, with coronavirus precautions in place, under a plan announced Thursday by Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno. Starting Wednesday, May 27 several buildings will reopen to the public on a limited basis:

    • City Hall
    • the City Hall Annex, where the housing department is located
    • the Tapley Street public works and operations building
    • the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control & Adoption Center

    There will be no walk-in business. Residents will have to make appointments a day in advance and show up only at the appointed time.
