    Southwick Select Board discusses fiber options with Whip City Fiber

    The Select Board discussed its fiber optic options this week with members of the Westfield Gas and Electric's Whip City Fiber division. Richard Carnall, WG&E senior IT fiber architect, offered an overview of what Whip City Fiber does and how it helps other towns. "There's a lot of municipalities looking to build their own fiber network," said Carnall. "It starts with the town becoming a municipal light plant. This gets you on the poles."
