    DevelopSpringfield closes sale of former River Inn site on State Street to Pride Stores

    DevelopSpringfield said Friday that it has closed the sale of the former River Inn site at 700 State St. to Pride Stores, which will build a 5,500-square-foot "Super Pride" with a food court, Subway sandwich shop and Pride Bakery cafe. For Pride Stores CEO Robert Bolduc said the location in the heart of the McKnight and Old Hill neighborhoods will fill the same neighborhood market role as his 7-year-old location on West Street in the city's similarly hardscrabble Brightwood neighborhood.
