The Regional Employment Board of Hampden County is looking for people interested in studying advanced manufacturing. The state awarded the Regional Employment Board $207,900 in October to offer workforce training programs. There is no cost to the trainees, according to the Regional Employment Board. Training begins in January at Westfield Technical Academy, Chicopee Comprehensive High School and Pathfinder Regional Vocational High School in Palmer. Classes are Mondays through Thursdays and the program lasts five weeks. Training is from 3:30-7:30 p.m. in Westfield and Palmer and from 4-8 p.m. in Chicopee.
