    Western Massachusetts town plans 18-hole municipal disc golf course

    Selectmen at Monday's meeting unanimously endorsed plans for a disc golf course on public land. The Park & Recreation department proposed an 18-hole disc, or Frisbee, golf course on about 20 acres of a 60-acre municipal parcel. The land is known as Piper Farm, which is less than a half-mile from the town common. The area is bounded by Route 202 on the north side and Springfield Road on the south.
