    Golf is a game of precision. Making golf balls is no less exacting, as Dominic Duvall demonstrated recently at Callaway Golf Co.'s sprawling plant in the Willimansett section of town. He placed unfinished golf balls between the sharp points of an electronic micrometer to measure it to thousandths of an inch. Each ball, with it's aerodynamic surface geometry of 332 tiny indentations -- don't call them dimples -- can be no smaller than 1.68 inches in diameter and no heavier than 1.62 ounces.
