Southworth Paper closing leaves gap for Turners Falls, Agawam

The closing Wednesday of Southworth Paper Co., eliminating 120 jobs, leaves a gap in Agawam and the Turners Falls section of Montague, where paper mills were major employers for generations. "It's sad what has happened to the high-quality paper industry in this country," said Richard Kuklewicz, chairman of the Montague Board of Selectmen.
