Springfield Union Station inks deal with locally owned restaurant, The Whistle Stop, to take final retail space
Union Station has filed its final first-floor retail space with The Whistle Stop, a sit-down Italian restaurant that will be owned by Carlo Bonavita. The 1,107-square-foot Whistle Stop will feature stromboli, calzones, pizza, and other fare that passengers can take with them or dine-in. the restaurant will offer beer and wine and the beverage concept is entirely local. Carlo Bonavita's son, Sergio, owns Westfield River Brewing in Southwick. His brother, John, owns The Tavern in Westfield.
