    Gov. Charlie Baker announces $39M for life sciences education at colleges, high schools

    Smith College will receive nearly half a million dollars for its life sciences facilities, one of several Massachusetts colleges and high schools to receive state grants focused on science and technology. The $497,000 grant will pay for advanced instrumentation for two research centers, allowing Smith to train life sciences majors with state-of-the-art technology, according to the state.
