    Mason Square monument honors first basketball game
    The Mason Square Enshrinement Basketball Festival attracted many residents who played basketball right on the street, ate carnival food and met members of several basketball teams including the Puerto Rican U18 Team. However, it was the monument created by New Jersey artist Brian Hanlon that left people surprised. The monument depicts a seven-foot tall basketball player in 1891 throwing a modern basketball at a young boy in the future.
