    Massachusetts seeks bids to extend broadband internet to 40 WMass towns

    State officials are soliciting bids from private companies to build out broadband internet connections in 40 Western Massachusetts towns. The bid request is part of an effort by Gov. Charlie Baker's administration over the last six months to revive and revitalize state government's efforts to provide broadband internet to all homes in Massachusetts.
