    Springfield opens $3 million Forest Park building for job skills training, Bright Nights...

    The Regional Employment Board of Hampden County is partnering with the city to allow unemployed and underemployed participants to gain carpentry, electrical, welding and painting experience, according to the city and REB President-CEO David Cruise. The workshop and storage space replaces an existing wooden shelter built in the early 1970s. Mayor Domenic J. Sarno said the project "plays an important role in our continued economic development and job training efforts."
