The news that Westover is one of four finalists to be selected to become home to new KC-46A Pegasus refueling planes could bring the base back to its original mission. Having refueling aircraft at Westover is not new. In fact the first time Westover pilots flew refueling planes was in 1955 when the KC-97s arrived at the base. Those planes also carried cargo, Master Sgt. Andrew S. Biscoe, public affairs technician at Westover, said.
