    Smith College officials on Wednesday announced that acclaimed designer Maya Lin and design firm Shepley Bulfinch have been chosen to redesign the main library at the Northampton women's college. College officials are banking on Lin and Shepley Bulfinch to re-imagine and redesign the William Allan Neilson Library into a world-class facility that preserves history and encourages new methods of learning. The Lin/Shepley Bulfinch team was chosen for the project after an international search.
