    Springfield hires firm to explore new uses for 22-acre property in Indian Orchard; seeking public input

    The city has hired a consultant to evaluate options for redevelopment of a 22-acre, tax-foreclosed property on Oak Street in Indian Orchard, located adjacent to a solar facility. RKG Associates Inc., of Quincy, a firm specializing in applying market analysis to real estate development, has been hired for the property reuse study, said Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, in a prepared release. The study will cost $23,750.
