    Common Capital announces loan to Quabbin Harvest, a co-op grocery in Orange

    Common Capital, the Holyoke based nonprofit lender to small business, has closed a $40,000  loan to help Quabbin Harvest, a soon-to-open grocery cooperative in Orange. Chris Sikes, Common Capital's CEO, made the announcement in an email Wednesday. Common Capital is making the loan in partnership with the Cooperative Fund of New England and the Mount Grace Land Trust. The trust  purchased the building at 12 North Main St. where the new market is being built. The location was the former Workers Credit Union building.
