    Western New England University wins $50,000 federal grant to compete in next year's Solar Decathlon

    Western New England University has won a $50,000 grant for having one of 20 teams nationwide chosen to compete next year in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon. Along with Yale University, Western New England was one of two New England schools selected for the annual event.As part of the competition, Western New England engineering students will collaborate with their peers at the Universidad Tecnologica de Panama and the Universidad Tecnologica Centroamericana in Honduras at the Irvine, Calif.-based event.
