    Massachusetts House and Senate approve 5-year, $177 million spending plan to aid state's military installations

    The Massachusetts Senate and House passed final legislation authorizing $177 million in capital spending over the next five years to make improvements at and expand the state’s military installations. The bill includes spending to make repairs to the runway at the Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield. The bill now goes to Gov. Deval Patrick for his signature to become law.
