    Belt Technologies, other local employers, take advantage of Workforce Training Initiatives

    Belt Technologies, a manufacturer of stainless steel belts, pulleys and conveyors with 35 employees at its Agawam factory and headquarters, is one of several local companies taking advantage of the latest round of state Workforce Training Initiatives.  Belt Technologies, which received $75,897 to train 31 employes and create three new jobs, is one of 39 Massachusetts companies looking to train 3,273 workers and hire 242 with a total of $3.7 million announced last week by the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development.
