    Mass. defense contractors assess shutdown fallout

    Sen. Elizabeth Warren had already lashed out on the topic of the federal sequestration budget cuts, in a Sept. 30 speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate.  'More than a thousand employees at Westover Air Force Base and Barnes Air National Guard Base in Western Massachusetts are facing furloughs,' Warren said. 'Scientists and medical researchers in Massachusetts are also getting pounded by the sequester.'
