    Students from Massachusetts colleges promote STEM fields to high school students in Springfield

    Students from Massachusetts community colleges, state universities and the University of Massachusetts are at Springfield’s Central High School today to promote science, technology, engineering and math -- the "STEM" fields -- to students from three of the city’s high schools.  The new effort to promote STEM majors and career training opportunities is part of the statewide “Go Public!” campaign to highlight academic excellence at the state’s 29 public campuses.  Six student speakers from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Westfield State University as well as Springfield Tech, Holyoke and Greenfield community colleges are speaking this ...
