Amherst officials seeking $2.45 million from state to improve Pomeroy Village infrastructure

Officials have applied for a $2.45 million MassWorks Infrastructure Program grant to make improvements in the Pomeroy Village Center. The intention is to encourage “multi-family housing, economic development and enhance vehicular pedestrian safety,” according to the application. The town will pay $55,000 to pay for the surveying, design and permitting for the project. The improvements would support the second phase of development of Amherst Office Park, a development by Ronald LaVerdiere.
