    Two years after a devastating tornado, local and state officials, parents, staff and students celebrated the start of a project to build a new, $27.9 million Elias Brookings Museum Magnet School on Walnut Street, a short distance from the original, wrecked building. Those speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony said the project reflects the great commitment and partnership that emerged following the June 1, 2011 tornado, turning the tragedy into a great, deserved opportunity for the school and its students, the neighborhood and the city.
