The NCAA Division II Elite 8 basketball tournament, which tipped off on Wednesday at the MassMutual Center, is expected to draw 15,000 fans and generate $1.2 million to $1.5 million in local spending on tickets, food, lodging and local services by the time it’s over on Saturday.
