1. Construction continues on time and on budget on Baystate Medical Center’s $250 million building project, scheduled for a 2012 opening to meet the growing needs of our communities. This is the largest economic development initiative in Western Massachusetts, currently supporting more than 300 construction jobs, with an additional 550 permanent jobs at Baystate with an estimated payroll of $25 million, when completed.
