    Massachusetts Gaming Commission Chairman Stephen Crosby says casinos will be judged on impact over decades, not speed

    Massachusetts Gaming Commission Chairman Stephen Crosby said Tuesday that decisions on casinos need to be based on the impact the projects will have over a span of decades, not on how soon a casino can be built.  Crosby, during a one-hour interview at The Republican, said the commission is taking a very methodical approach as it prepares to consider granting up to three casino licenses in Massachusetts, including one project in Western Massachusetts. The commission is “unruffled” by those who say the commission is moving too slowly, and will not be pressured into hurrying the process, he said.
